Greetings to Hatton Park Residents!By chance, this evening I have
discovered your website and am absolutely fascinated by the aerial
photos.I can clearly see the house (13 Hatton Street) where I lived with
my parents (Joyce and Jimmy Parsons) from 1953 'till 1958.Jimmy was
Principal of Wellingborough Technical College. Our time in the town
was extremely happy and I am actually writing a book, which includes
tales about my life there. Whether it is ever published is the million
dollar question! My great friends were the Musgrave twins who lived
on Hatton Park Road and some years after leaving, I was a bridesmaid to
Muriel Wells, who lived with her parents, Rene and Harry,in the bungalow
at the top of Hatton Avenue.01.11.11 - The autumn newsletter is now available to read here.
31.10.11 - The police have reported 2 break-ins on Hatton Park Road last week. One of them using a pair of garden shears.
Whether it is connected or not it is difficult to say but one resident in HPR had a caller last Monday. He was in a workers hard hat and flashed a card at the door explaining he was making a courtesy call advising that there would be roadworks in the middle of the week. Needless to say there were no works.
Please be very cautious when answering the door and always examine id carefully. If you do notice anything suspicious please ring the new police non emergency number 101.
The is also a scam going on at the moment where a PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) card is put through the door saying a parcel is waiting collection and to ring a number. Be very careful the number is a Premium Rate Number and very very expensive. if you do receive such a card please report it to Royal Mail Fraud on
